About me
I’m an entrepreneurial naturalist from Wageningen, The Netherlands. I was trained in botany, ecology and plant sciences at Wageningen University, from which I recieved my Masters’ degree in 2021.
My work centers around mending the relationship between nature and humanity. Through my science communication company Heger Applied Science, I help businesses, NGOs and individuals understand and work with the natural world.
I believe the only way humanity can keep developing is by quickly finding our balance with the ecosystems that surround us. This requires transitions in three main areas: Energy, manufacturing and food. I focus on the latter by finding and implementing ways in which our food production systems can remain productive while increasing resillience and decreasing their dependence on external inputs.

Who do I work with?
